Terra de Troubadours

Terra de Trobadors transforms Castelló d’Empúries into a lively medieval town of troubadours, markets, music, taverns, tournaments, and historical reenactments. Held on the second weekend of September, it celebrates the town’s medieval past as the former capital of the County of Empúries, with a special focus on troubadour culture and the 12th–13th centuries. Visitors can explore artisan stalls, performances, costumes, and even a medieval market where payment is made using medieval-style currency.
